INGROUP LICENSING ADDS YOUTH-BRAND FRANKY & MINX TO CLIENT ROSTER

Franky & Minx Launches with Tattoo-Inspired Women's Underwear

NEW YORK, May 25 – Ingroup Licensing -- the agent for such power brands as Mudd Jeans, Plugg and Sierra Club -- today announced the newest addition to its client roster, the authentic tattoo-inspired apparel company Franky & Minx.

Billed as a youth-oriented brand, Franky & Minx integrates tattoo art with fashion. The brand's first foray into the market is with a line of women's underwear featuring artwork created by company co-founder Franky, a nationally recognized tattoo artist working in the East Village section of New York City. His partner Minx (aka Heidi Minx) is a youth marketing specialist and child of the global hardcore music scene. Together, they have tweaked some old-school designs and added some humorous "in-your-face" tags that capture the attitude and lifestyles of the ever-changing youth market. Visit www.frankyandminx.com for more information on Franky and Minx.

"We signed Franky & Minx based on the youth market's demand for authentic products," said Ingroup's Kelly Payfer. "Because of the designs and the humor, the brand will resonate with a large segment of teens and young adults, especially those involved in what traditionally are labeled as niche markets -- those who may be tattooed, body-pierced, motorcycle riding, fans of hardcore music and aggressive sports.

Neither Franky nor Minx is strangers to fashion. Franky's designs have appeared in several collections by Betsey Johnson, while Minx is well known in the sportswear and licensed apparel sector for her marketing savvy. Both grew up in the punk rock, tattoo and alternative scenes.

According to Minx, "We created the brand and the first line as a reaction to where we believe the consumer market is heading. Repeatedly, we see companies trying to reach into alternative markets. But the individuals doing the reaching were never a part of those scenes. They don't understand the nuances of the fashions, the music or the lifestyles. Our vision is to create a line of licensed products that is real and not forced by working with our licensing partners."

Franky & Minx is currently being sold at Trash & Vaudeville in New York and will be available at Blest in Los Angeles in early July '01.
